The SAFM student body is diverse and includes practitioners ranging from health coaches and yoga therapists, to MDs and PhDs. It is understandable that some of the concepts taught in the program would be more familiar to those with an advanced medical or scientific degree.
However, key concepts are repeated often in a variety of courses, on Open Coaching Calls, in the Q&A Treasure Chest and in your Peer Group Huddle. Repetition will help you master material that you are less familiar with.
Kudos for realizing that you may need to slow down the pace of study. Please know that many of SAFM's most successful alumni do not come form advanced medical backgrounds. It is not a prerequisite to your coursework, an obstacle to certification or a barrier to a successful practice.
