Our goal is to make your SAFM semester as seamless as possible. To help you navigate your education, we provide a Semester Guide. These will be emailed to you upon registration and can also be found on your student dashboard in the "Student Support" area. You should review the guide in its entirety; as it contains logistical notes, dashboard instructions, key dates and other important information about your program.
To help guide you through the semester, we provide two versions of a "baseline" semester schedule - Standard and Accelerated. You can choose to utilize these or create your own.
Each schedule is available in an editable EXCEL file and contains key program dates and activities such as LIVE calls, Peer Huddle meetings, course release dates, suggested course viewing, reviewing time blocks and other useful information.
The Semester Schedule is available in two options - Standard (44 weeks) and Accelerated (33 weeks). Once you select a schedule, you can choose to receive weekly reminder emails from SAFM for all of your key milestones and LIVE events. It is a good idea to put all of the semester LIVE events on your calendar once you receive your semester guide.
The semester schedule suggests weekly study blocks of 2-2.5 hours each.
(1) the Standard schedule is built around a 44-week semester. It suggests 3-4 Consistent study blocks each week (approx. 7-9 hrs./week).
(2) The Accelerated schedule is built around a 33-week semester. It suggests 4-5 study blocks each week (about 10-12 hrs./week).
If you choose the Accelerated track, you can switch to the standard track later, we do not recommend switching from standard to accelerated.
You can find your semester guide in the "Student Support" section of your dashboard (button on the left). Then, look under "Student Semester Guides". If your semester hasn't quite started, you will be sent a link to a page with your semester guide.
